Level I supervisory body (IB-068) accredited by the Dubai Accreditation Center, ECO operates in the Fairground and Amusement Equipment sector in conformity with ISO/IEC 17020 and DAC-REQ – 16 requirements. Founded in Dubai as the result of a division undergoing rapid growth, ECO Middle East Engineering Services LLC boasts a strong presence on numerous projects throughout the Middle East, providing a very high level of engineering expertise.

ECO inspectors support amusement park directors with a vast range of security and quality services and act in conformity with the international EN standards, American ASTM standards and the local standards of Dubai DAC-Req.

THE PHASES OF THE SERVICE

INITIAL APPROVAL

Revisions, tests, inspections and planning tests, fabrication and calculations carried out by ECO and before a ride is made available for public use, whether for permanent installations or for any temporary installation, regardless of the period of time.

Revision of the project

ECO engineers are certified and qualified to execute the revision of the project. They analyse and offer effective solutions for the potential risks and correlated risk for the device/drive. Moreover, they carry out preliminary functional controls and safety controls on both mechanical and electrical components. They carry out tests according to standard EN 13849 through the calculation of input and output data.

Revision of the production

ECO carries out the initial inspection and the in-factory test before shipping. They are conducted together with the auditor to ensure that the devices are completely identical.

Initial inspection

ECO carries out inspections and tests to guarantee that the devices / rides comply with the standards before shipping.

Certification

ECO issues the Certificate if all the requirements were met in accordance with the reference standards.

FIRST INDEPENDENT INSPECTION (INSPECTION OF THE INSTALLATION)

This is the first independent inspection (inspection of the installation) provided that a valid initial approval was carried out.

ECO carries out the inspection, audit, and the issuing of the certificate (if the requirements outlined in the standards are all met) to guarantee that the devices / rides are safe for public use.

INDEPENDENT INSPECTION

This is an independent inspection in the presence of a valid initial approval.

CALCULATION REVIEW

ECO carries out a revision of the calculation provided by the manufacturer of a device or ride.

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)

INITIAL INSPECTION IN THE ABSENCE OF A VALID INITIAL APPROVAL (FAT: factory acceptance test)

ECO carries out the test and inspection to ensure that the devices are in conformity with the standards prior to shipping.

ECO-Site Acceptance Test (SAT)

INITIAL INSPECTION IN THE ABSENCE OF A VALID INITIAL APPROVAL (SAT: site acceptance test)

ECO-SAT was created especially for manufacturers, owners, operators, states, and governments that have produced outside of Dubai.

ECO-SAT includes the following tests and verifications on site:

• Control of the standard documentation
• Visual inspection
• Initial independent examinations and tests
• Verification of the training of operators and working methods

The ECO-SAT report, drafted after the inspection, contains:

• List of verified documents and their results
• Tests carried out and their results
• List of results and/or critical results
• List of attenuation
• Technical recommendations
• Recommendations for supplementary training
